Our Aims
We look to offer comprehensive packages of care, which are uniquely tailored to meet the needs of individuals, by a well trained team of staff working with service users, their representatives, family and friends. By means of continuous assessment, person centred planning and frequent and regular reviews we are committed to enhancing the quality of life of all service users, offering each individual the opportunity to reach their potential, whilst respecting their privacy and dignity.
We place great emphasis on personal choice, training towards independence, social and life skills training, integration into the community and involvement in age appropriate activities.
We further aim:-
- To provide support and care for adults with complex Autism Spectrum Disorders and challenging behaviours.
- To provide a highly structured care planning process, including Person Centred Planning and by using TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication Handicapped Children (adults)) as a model for communications in all aspects of the service user’s life.
- To offer highly experienced and qualified staff at all times in order to support the specific needs of each service user.
- To support service users to take as much control over their life as possible.
- To value individuals, through positive relationships.
- To protect the rights and dignity of all service users and maintain a positive outlook to the potential of each individual.
- To provide a range of leisure and recreational activities to suit the tastes and abilities of all service users and to stimulate participation.
- To respond appropriately to the personal, intellectual, artistic and spiritual values and practices of every service user.
- To respect the service users’ religious, ethnic and cultural diversity.
